Responsible Gaming
As the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Board (SMGHB) embarks on our new journey with the acquisition of Palms Casino Resort, we take our responsibility to care for others seriously and we understand there is more that can be done to create a culture of caring for all that enter the Palms.
In this spirit, we are proud to partner with the UNLV International Gaming Institute to develop a first-of-its-kind custom Responsible Gaming Program. This fully-customized and innovative program is built on a collaborative process that incorporates the input of Tribal leadership, executive management, team members, and guests in a way that reflects the unique Tribal culture, vision, and values of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
We will deploy a responsible gaming program that will be the first in the world – reflecting the Tribe’s 200 year record of dedication to its concern for others – and creating an impact designed to provide for seven generations.
The Palms is an independent company owned by the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Board (SMGHB). Our company was formed in 2020 by the . With this in mind, we reflect the history and culture of this proud nation in all we do, especially when it comes to caring for our employees, our communities and our customers. Nowhere is it more important to uphold the highest standards for a safe and enjoyable experience than in our casinos. Each of us at the Palms are committed to creating a culture of care for all that work or visit (our) property.
For nearly 30 years at its flagship in Highland, California, the San Manuel Tribe has demonstrated in the casino’s operations the same care and compassion for the people and lands around them that can be seen throughout the 200 years of the Tribe’s history. It has not gone unnoticed as Yaamava’ has been recognized for responsible business practices by several leading industry organizations.
